“I have been using the AMT M-40 on piano in a Big Band Jazz reinforcement situation for almost a year (75+ shows). I have found it to be remarkably transparent, natural sounding microphone that has provided excellent rejection of secondary ambient sound (i.e. drums and bass) while providing the necessary headroom to place the piano appropriately in the mix. I am most plased to continue my endorsement of this microphone. Additionally, I work extensively with Todd Coolman in the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, who uses the S25-B on his bass and have found that microphone to provide similar characteristics; a clean, transparent, articulate reinforcement with ample headroom while also providing excellent rejection of the secondary source ambient sound (piano and drums) in the Big Band context.”
