other musical genres including Salsa, Afro-Cuban, Rhythm and Blues, Funk, Hip-Hop,
Gospel, and European-Classical. Mr. Curry plays Yanagisawa saxophones, uses Vandoren Reed

This young, New York area based, alto saxophonist is native of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Following in the footsteps of Indianapolis jazz natives such as, Freddie Hubbard, Wes Montgomery,
James Spalding, Larry Riddley, Slide Hampton, David Baker, J.J. Johnson, Ray Appleton,
and others. Mr. Curry provides non-stop musical entertainment to all audiences. The majority of
the public sees him perform with the alto saxophone, but other instrument recordings and performances
include doubling on the soprano, tenor, baritone saxophones, alto flute, C flute, Bb
soprano, bass clarinet, and piano. Curry has claimed numerous solo awards for jazz competitions
throughout the country.
The former President Bill Clinton came to Mr. Curry’s hometown for a memorial dedication,
where he had the honor of performing. Mr. Curry has traveled extensively, touring as a
leader and sideman featured with large and small jazz ensembles at jazz festivals in countries
such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, and
U.S. cities ranging from New York to Los Angeles. While in Washington D.C., again Curry had
the pleasure of meeting and performing for the former President Bill Clinton’s inauguration.
While attending undergraduate school in Nashville, Tennessee, Mr. Curry performed at local jazz
venues including Opryland and recorded in major recording studios for gospel and Christian
groups in the Music City.
Jason Curry has performed and recorded as a leader and sideman with several groups on
the East Coast and in the Midwest. He has appeared on television networks Fox, CBS, and featured
nationally, on recordings, public jazz radio, Sirius Satellite, and Radio-One stations. To
share the art of music, Curry began an educational company Princess Musik, LLC that guides
children in their musical endeavors. Mr. Curry has studied and performed while completing music
degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels with notable jazz artists such as
saxophonists, Jimmy Heath, Vincent Herring, Mark Gross, and Jim Snidero.
Some of Mr. Curry’s most notable performances have been with the pit orchestras in
Broadway productions, Off-Broadway productions, and various regional theaters. In addition,
regularly at venues such as Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola (Jazz at Lincoln Center/NYC), Rose Hall
(Jazz at Lincoln Center/ NYC), Iridium Jazz Club, The Blue Note (NYC), The Jazz Standard
(NYC), Birdland (NYC), Smoke Jazz (NYC) The Thelonious Monk Institute and a host of other
major New York venues. Jazz ghost bands including, The Count Basie Orchestra, The Duke Ellington
Jazz Orchestra (B), The Ray Charles Orchestra, and The Cab Calloway Jazz Orchestra.
Curry also plays or has performed with The Valery Ponomarev Big Band, and such noted musicians
as Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Dwayne Eubanks, the late Jimmy Smith, Mel Rhyne,
Mark Whitfield, Russell Malone, Kenny Washington, Winard Harper, Greg Bandy, Curtis Lundy,
