“Voted Best Celtic Rock Band of 2006 in the Celtic MP3s Music Magazine Audience Poll!” – RATHKELTAIR
Noted for his innovative use of traditional Celtic instruments in rock, pop and jazz idioms, Neil Anderson is perhaps best known as the original ‘piper and one of the founding members of Seven Nations, America’s groundbreaking Celtic rock powerhouse. From 1995 until he left the band in 1998, Neil helped make Seven Nations the most popular (and subsequently most imitated) indie Celtic rock band in North America, selling over 100, 000 CDs without any label support or distribution deals. Neil has since gone on to perform with some of the most respected artists in Celtic music. He has also produced several successful solo projects as well as original music for television and film.
Since 2003, Neil has been touring with Rathkeltair, a band he put together with Seven Nations’ original drummer, Nick Watson, and Trevor Tanner, frontman/songwriter for one of the most influential bands on the UK club scene in the late 80’s, The Bolshoi. Rathkeltair enjoys an ever-growing international following, and is set to release its third disc in May, 2008.http://www.myspace.com/antipyprmusic
