AMT HR2, HR3, & HR3R

AMT offers three options for harmonica:

  1. HR2 for 10 hole diatonic.
  2. HR3 for adjustable chromatic with mounting onto harmonica.
  3. HR3R for adjustable chromatic with mounts for neck brace.

The HR2 is a clip-on Harmonica Microphone system for diatonic harmonica. The system is low in profile, which allows it to be used with a standard neck harness. Or, be held in the hand of a player while holding the instrument. Hand made in the USA, the microphone comes with spring-loaded clips to attach to the Harmonica and can easily fit into most neck braces on the market today. Compact cylindrical design handles sound pressure levels well above 141dB. Rugged and lightweight anodized aviation aluminum for a very well built and durable construction.

The HR3 is Applied Microphone Technology’s 3rd generation of Harmonica microphone systems. Designed, manufactured by hand, and distributed by Applied Microphone Technology in the USA. Unlike any other harmonica microphone system on the market, the HR3 reproduces the sound of a harmonica as natural as possible.

The design of the HR3 is also all of it’s own. The microphone is intended to fit different sized harmonicas from diatonic to 16 hole. The HR3, unlike the former HR1 and HR2 systems from AMT has a clamp that adjusts by a thumb and an allen screw to fit different sized instruments.

The HR3 also includes AMT’s new DCT (Disconnecting cable technology) which allows easy replacement of the cable from the microphone as well as giving it the ability to interface with various wireless systems on the market including the AMT Wi5IIB, Wi5IIC, & Quantum 7 belt pack free wireless systems. Comes with soft case and adjustable clamp.

The AMT HR3R is also Applied Microphone Technology’s 3rd generation of Harmonica microphone systems.  The design of the HR3R is simlair to the HR3 however includes a special mounting system to attach directly to a neck brace instead of the standard HR3 clips that mount to the instrument itself.  The microphone is intended to fit different sized harmonicas from diatonic to 16 hole. Like the HR3, the HR3R can be held in the hands of the player or attached by the included clamps onto a neck rack.

The HR3 & HR3R include AMT’s new DCT (Disconnecting cable technology) which allows easy replacement of the cable from the microphone as well as giving it the ability to interface with various wireless systems on the market including the AMT Wi5IIB, Wi5IIC, and Quantum 7 belt pack free wireless system. The HR3 and HR3R is also compatible with Shure, Line 6, and Sabine wireless system’s with the included cable and can also work with Sennheiser with an optional cable.

The included AMT inline preamp can be placed on the floor, a belt clip, or in a pocket and has a low roll-off filter as well as a dB cut. The system includes a soft carrying pouch, AMT inline preamp (phantom power required), and adjustable clamp.
