The AMT P800 Trumpet microphone system is the only system on the market specifically made to handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can reproduce. The element, somewhere in size between a small and large diaphram is hand made by AMT and larger in size than AMT's other system which allows for even the loudest of trumpet players to not overload the microphone. The P800 clamps to the lead pipe of the trumpet of flugal horn. AMT has developed there special "Off the bell" clamping system for this model. The P800 in it's stock configuration is the perfect choice for the player that needs control of there volume in a belt pack style setup. The latest version of the AMT P800 allows the player to easily change to and from AMT different preamps and allows for direct connections to either Shure or Sennheiser beltpack transmitters. With a change in a cable, convert your P800 from a beltpack style preamp, to a "Studio" series model, and then to AMT "W"ireless setups. Cables sold seperatly. Excellent choice for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4 point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise. Phantom power or 9Volt battery required. July 20th, 2007 - All current P800 models come with a wire disconnect. This wire disconnect allows the player to disconnec the cable from the microphone for ease of storage and to attach a different accessory cable in order to use the "Studio" preamp or convert to a "W"ireless direct connect model.

The AMT P800 can be used with most major brand wireless belt pack transmitters and recievers. With the AMT Interface, the microphone can plug directly into the interface which then plugs directly into most major brand wireless units. When ordering the AMT Interface, be sure to know your wireless make, model, and pin out configuration. Interfaces are made to order.
