The AMT P800 Trumpet microphone system is the only system on the market specifically designed for trumpet that can handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can reproduce. The element, somewhere in size between a small and large diaphragm is hand made by AMT and larger in size than AMT other elements. The P800 microphone system allows for even the loudest of trumpet players to not saturate or overload the element.
The microphone mounts to the lead pipe of the trumpet or flugelhorn with a specially designed clamp. The "Off the bell" mounting system is unique and for the player that wants an alternative to a bell mounted clamp. The P800 in it's stock configuration is the perfect choice for the player needing a hardwired beltpack system. All versions of the AMT P800(P800, P800 Studio, P800W - Shure, & P800W - Sennheiser) now include a disconnecting cable, (DCT) which allows the user to easily change too and from AMT's different preamps as well as switching to beltpack free wireless with the AMT Wi5C, Shure, Sabine, and Sennheiser wireless systems. With a change in a cable, convert a P800 from a beltpack style preamp to a wireless setup. Cables, and wireless systems sold separately depending on the model you choose.
The AMT P800 is an excellent choice for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4 point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise. Phantom power or 1 AA battery required for included BP 45 beltpack.
Included with the P800 microphone is a metal housing beltpack style preamp (BP45), case, and AMT D.C.T.
ALL MODELS are compatible with the Wi5C Wireless System.
