Microphone for Trumpet & Flugelhorn (High SPL levels & “Off the Bell” mounting)
The AMT P800 Trumpet microphone system is the only system on the market specifically designed to handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can reproduce. The element, somewhere in size between a small and large diaphragm is hand made by AMT and larger than AMT's standard size elements. The P800 microphone system allows for even the loudest of trumpet players to use the microphone.
The microphone mounts with a specially designed clamp to the lead pipe of the trumpet or flugal horn. AMT has developed a special "Off the bell" mounting system for this model for the player that wants an alternative to a bell mounting system. The P800 in it's stock configuration is the perfect choice for the player needing a hardwired beltpack system. All models of the AMT P800 now include a disconnecting cable. (DCT) This allows the user to easily change to and from AMT's different preamps as well as switching to beltpack free wireless with the AMT Wi5C and direct connections to either Shure, Sabine, or Sennheiser wireless beltpack transmitters. With a change in a cable, convert a P800 from a beltpack style preamp, to a "Studio" series model, or to a "W"ireless setups. Cables and wireless systems sold separately.
The AMT P800 is an excellent choice for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4 point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise. Phantom power or 9Volt battery required for beltpack or 'studio' models.
Included with the P800 microphone is a beltpack style preamp, case, and AMT D.C.T.
Included with the P800 Studio system is the P800 microphone, the AP40 Studio preamp, case, and a cable.
Included with the P800W system is the P800 microphone, case, and a cable to connect with the respective wireless system.

The AMT P800 can be used with most major brand wireless belt pack transmitters and recievers. With the AMT Interface, the microphone can plug directly into the interface which then plugs directly into most major brand wireless units. When ordering the AMT Interface, be sure to know your wireless make, model, and pin out configuration. Interfaces are made to order.
