The AMT P800 Trumpet microphone system is the only system on the market specifically made to handle the highest SPL levels that a trumpet can reproduce. The element, somewhere in size between a small and large diaphram is hand made by AMT and larger in size than AMT's other system which allows for even the loudest of trumpet players to not overload the microphone. The P800 clamps to the lead pipe of the trumpet of flugal horn. AMT has developed there special "Off the bell" clamping system for this model. The latest version of the AMT P800W - Shure allows the player to easily convert there directly connecting wireless microphone to any AMT preamp version. With a change in a cable, convert your P800W from a "W"ireless setup, to a "Belt pack", or the AMT "Studio" series. Cables sold seperatly. Excellent choice for soft to loud music for a principal artist, ensemble setting, or a soloist. The microphone is suspended in a 4 point isolation ring reducing key and handling noise. Powered via the wireless beltpack. The AMT P800W - Shure Microphone System is meant to be used by the player that requires a multi - channel professional level wireless system. This application is a commonly prefered method used by many professional level "Sound Engineers" as well as sound companies on major tours.
July 20th, 2007 - All current P800 models come with a wire disconnect. This wire disconnect allows the player to disconnec the cable from the microphone for ease of storage and to attach a different accessory cable in order to use the "Studio" preamp or convert to a "W"ireless direct connect model.
The AMT P800W - Shure is a special version of the AMT P800. The microphone element remains the same with the same high level of quality that the P800 acheives however is specially adapted to work in this Shure configuration.
